  • The Indoor Golf Shop ran Black Friday deals that let golfers save up to $3,400 on simulators, launch monitors, and practice mats for winter practice—deals continue through Cyber Monday, December 1. CULTURE NEWS

  • Medley Family Farms (founded in 2024) is offering a live wreath-making workshop this holiday season to teach residents how to create festive decor. The farm, started by co-owner Bailey Medley and her stepdaughter Alli (after planting 3,000 tulips), now provides boutique subscriptions, produce boxes and photo backdrops.  WLFI

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Lafayette Fire Department warned residents to prepare for snow and cold by avoiding unsafe heating devices and keeping winter emergency supplies in vehicles. Assistant Chief Todd Budd advised people to pace outdoor work and keep safety tools handy — such as jumper cables—to be ready for possible road trouble as the storm nears.  Star City News

  • Purdue football ended its season with two wins and ten losses after a heavy 56 to 3 loss to Indiana, marking its worst two-year stretch in over 100 years — the team lost 18 straight Big Ten games.  Journal & Courier
  • Purdue basketball's 7-foot-4 center Daniel Jacobsen broke a 50-year-old record for consecutive field goals by going 8-for-8 in a 109-62 win over Eastern Illinois on Friday—he scored 24 points with nine rebounds and six blocks in 18 minutes and will look to extend his record when Purdue opens Big Ten play at Rutgers on Tuesday.  Journal & Courier
