- ➤ Residents in Lafayette have shared their Thanksgiving plans that include family gatherings, holiday ham, football watching and last-minute shopping. Local stores are busy as many expect family visits from out of town—adding to the holiday buzz. Star City News
- ➤ Greater Lafayette Commerce hosted the Third Annual Latino Pioneros Dinner to celebrate local Latino entrepreneurs by recognizing new business openings, growth, and anniversaries. Community leaders awarded outstanding contributions from Salvador Cornejo of Momax Marble and Granite, Aida Muñoz of Centier Bank and José Eliseo Del Real of Del Real Auto — highlighting efforts to boost local business networks. - ➤ The Hanna Community Center hosted a turkey giveaway on Wednesday before Thanksgiving to help local residents receive turkeys, food bags with dinner sides, and hygiene products amid challenges with SNAP benefits — the center also plans more events including its Ebony and Ivory Ball fundraiser. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Crews from the Indiana Department of Transportation will begin work Monday, December 1 on the shoulders of Sagamore Parkway between Cumberland Avenue and Neil Armstrong Drive in West Lafayette. The project will repair small structures and drainage and is expected to last about a week, so drivers must use caution in the work zone. WLFI

- ➤ Rossville junior Brayden Thiele-Hahn scored a record 52 points in a season opener win against Delphi on November 26—he hit 20 of 29 shots and 10 of 18 from 3-point range to break the 1972 school record. He also had 10 rebounds, two blocks, and two steals—taking a day off before practice to rest. Journal & Courier
- ➤ Purdue football will try to spoil Indiana’s perfect season in Friday’s battle for the Old Oaken Bucket — the game will test if the No. 2 Hoosiers can keep their winning streak and earn a spot in the Big Ten title game. Purdue will enter the game as underdogs aiming for their fourth win in five years. Journal & Courier
- ➤ On Nov. 26, Purdue women's basketball beat Howard 92-62 at Mackey Arena — senior Madison Layden Zay scored 14 points to spark a 22-0 run after a slow start. The Boilermakers will face Central Michigan Sunday at 1 p.m. and play Evansville on Dec. 3. Journal & Courier
