- ➤ LTHC Homeless Services will host its Home for the Holidays Gala on Nov. 21 at The Stables Event Center to raise funds amid uncertain government support—after already helping 1,910 people this year, including 324 children and 213 families—the event will feature a chef-prepared dinner and auction packages. - ➤ TC's Restaurant and Tavern in Battle Ground is offering free soup for dinner to anyone who reports a delayed SNAP benefit due to the government shutdown—co-owner Angie Oronato said the measure is meant to help local families in need, though no one has taken advantage of it yet. Star City News

- ➤ The Indiana Veterans’ Home will hold a Veterans Day ceremony on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Macarthur Auditorium, 3851 N. River Road in West Lafayette—Carroll County native and Director of the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs, Jake Adams, will serve as the keynote speaker. Guests should arrive by 9:45 a.m. to secure a seat at the annual event honoring U.S. Armed Forces veterans. WLFI
- ➤ Tippecanoe residents are reminded that fall property tax payments are due Monday, November 10 — payments can be made online, by mail, in person, or using the drop box at 20 N. Third Street. Star City News
- ➤ The Tippecanoe County coroner’s office is seeking the family of James H. Hensley, 60, after he died on Nov. 1 at his Lafayette home on the 1000 block of Joseph Street—he may have lived in Fountain and Montgomery counties. Officials ask anyone with information about his next of kin to contact the coroner’s office. Journal & Courier

- ➤ Lafayette Jeff has named former Purdue kicker Caleb Krockover as the new special teams coach ahead of its IHSAA Class 5A sectional title game against Kokomo—this change comes as arena football kicker Ryan Hibbets, who traveled daily from Chicago to coach, moves on. Krockover, who set the Indiana high school record with 329 kicking points, is expected to boost the team's performance in the upcoming playoffs. Journal & Courier
- ➤ Purdue basketball beat Evansville 82-51 in Mackey Arena on Nov. 4 even without senior star Trey Kaufman-Renn—Fletcher Loyer scored 30 points with key 3-pointers and Braden Smith had 11 assists to help the team overcome early rust. - ➤ Big League Sports Bar and Grill will open its new 3,000 square-foot space on Friday after seven months of construction. - ➤ Purdue junior forward Saige Stahl battled through a collision in the season opener against Fairleigh Dickinson, finishing with nine rebounds and helping force 19 turnovers+ coach Katie Gearlds praised her toughness as Purdue plans to build a stronger defense after a weak season.
