- ➤ Greater Lafayette Commerce will host its annual celebration Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with Indiana Fever Head Coach Stephanie White as the keynote speaker, honoring local business and individual success. Star City News

- ➤ On Nov. 1, 2025, Tippecanoe Battlefield hosted a commemoration where re-enactors and local history fans listened as museum manager Trey Gorden gave a lecture—he then held a lively question session that explained the battle's story. Visitors walked the grounds, saw period costumes, and watched as a group laid commemorative wreaths to honor the 1811 battle. Journal & Courier

- ➤ Purdue University ranked eighth nationally and best in the Big Ten in the Manhattan Institute’s City Journal 2025 College Rankings — earning high marks for leadership quality, free speech and alumni networking. Star City News

- ➤ County Commissioners approved a new housing subdivision today by Lenar Homes for 103 single-family lots in southern Lafayette — the development is on the south side of County Road 430 and the west side of County Road 250. Star City News
- ➤ The Wea Township Fire Department held a live fire training on Saturday with help from Lafayette and other nearby departments. Recruits, volunteers and staff practiced firefighting skills in realistic scenarios—preparing them for emergencies. Star City News

- ➤ Franciscan Health Lafayette East will host a community retirement celebration for Doctor Rosario Chua on Sunday, November 16th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Heartland Café — inside the North Entrance of the hospital — as she retires after 36 years caring for NIC-U babies, with the event open to staff and the public. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Girls basketball games will begin Monday — the Journal & Courier unveiled its preseason top 25 players in Lafayette for the upcoming 2025-26 IHSAA season, highlighting local stars like Maya Layton and Lillie Graves. Journal & Courier
- ➤ Purdue coach Barry Odom confirmed on Monday that running back Devin Mockobee's college career ended after he suffered an ankle injury on Oct. 25—this decision moves Malachi Thomas and Antonio Harris into higher roles as both recorded touchdowns against Michigan. Mockobee, a former walk-on with 2,987 rushing yards, will no longer play for Purdue. Journal & Courier
- ➤ Purdue women’s basketball won its season opener on Nov. 3 by beating Fairleigh Dickinson 67-48 at Mackey Arena—Kiki Smith scored 19 points in her debut and freshman Hila Karsh added 12 points and 5 rebounds.
