- ➤ Last Friday, a new skate park opened in the Faith Community Center parking lot on Highway 26 for skaters and bikers in Lafayette. Citybus plans to add a new bus route + which will improve access to the park. Star City News

- ➤ Red-tail Land Conservancy outreach coordinator Kendalynn Ross explained how plants use gravity, wind, water, burst force, and animals to move seeds—helping species spread and strengthen local ecosystems. - ➤ Tippecanoe Senior Services said its funding remains secure during the government shutdown but warned that if Title III reimbursements stop, the Meals on Wheels program might have to end (the agency has reserved $30,000 as backup against potential cuts). Star City News

- ➤ Nine Lafayette-area teams achieved strong performances in the first round of the Ivy Tech-sponsored IHSAA football playoffs, with Tucker Herndon scoring a game-winning touchdown with 25.7 seconds left in regulation to secure a 28–27 win over Central Catholic.
