- ➤ Research from the Indiana Youth Institute shows that one in five Indiana children between 2 and 19 live with obesity—studies with Jump IN for Healthy Kids note nearly 40 percent of central Indiana kids are obese and an 83 percent increase occurred among children aged 2 to 5 from 2014 to 2023.
