- ➤ The Greater Lafayette Climate Action Plan committee invites locals to GreenFest 2025 on June 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Big Four Depot and Riehle Plaza, a free event featuring nearly 20 local organizations hosting workshops on composting, energy efficiency, invasive species, and energy democracy plus a Kids Eco-Zone with interactive activities. - ➤ The Wabash River Enhancement Corporation received a $2M grant to fund environmental cleanup near the former Lafayette Boxboard paper mill site to address contamination along the river. Cleanup plans will be detailed in an on-site announcement next Wednesday—providing key information on next steps and potential redevelopment. Star City News

- ➤ A section of 18th Street—between Brady Lane and Ortman Lane—is closed due to railroad repairs that are causing detours and delays for drivers today. Crews said the repairs will last about a week and urged drivers to plan extra travel time. WLFI
- ➤ Logan Avenue in Lafayette will be closed for road work between 14th Street and El Prado Street through June 30, with construction from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily — city officials said one lane will remain open during evenings and weekends to allow limited traffic flow as drivers use alternate routes. - ➤ Franciscan Health Lafayette announced plans to build a new $25.7 million emergency facility in West Lafayette later this year—located at the corner of U.S. 52/231 and Cumberland Avenue on the same campus as the Franciscan OrthoIndy Surgery Center. The 24/7 facility will be staffed by about 40 full-time employees and is expected to finish construction by the end of 2027. Journal & Courier
- ➤ Franciscan Health Lafayette is building a new freestanding emergency department in West Lafayette at the corner of US 52/231 and Cumberland Avenue—construction will begin later this year and finish within two years—to offer 24/7 emergency care staffed by nearly 40 full-time workers. WLFI
