- ➤ Registration is open for the radKIDS camp hosted by the West Lafayette Police Department at West Lafayette Intermediate School, where children will learn life-saving skills with hands-on simulations. The camp runs from June 23 to June 27 with sessions for ages 5 to 7 from 9 to 11 a.m. and for ages 8 to 12 from 1 to 3 p.m., costing $10 per child and allowing parents to attend. WLFI

- ➤ Greater Lafayette Commerce and its board have backed SK hynix's $4 billion investment in West Lafayette that may bring up to 1,000 new jobs and boost the local semiconductor industry. SK hynix will build an advanced packaging and research facility at Purdue Research Park with mass production set to begin in 2028, and a final city council vote is set for Monday, May 5—a public meeting is scheduled for Saturday, May 3. - ➤ Greater Lafayette Commerce announced its support for SK hynix’s $4 billion semiconductor plant in West Lafayette on Thursday, less than a week before a proposed rezoning vote at West Lafayette City Council. The project is expected to bring 1,000 new jobs and $5 million in READI funds for workforce training, and a public info session on Saturday at 9 a.m.—with seating limited to 150—will offer more details.
