Indiana State Police awarded Tanna McKinley and Siri Sahoo a Lifesaving Award Certificate for rescuing an elderly man from a burning vehicle during a rollover crash on southbound I-65 in White County on October 10 (at 8:21 p.m.) with no injuries reported.

At 4 p.m. Thursday, a northbound Purdue Boilermaker Special blew a tire—crossed into southbound lanes on U.S. 52 and struck the car of 23-year-old Lafayette resident Savannah Mason, who died at the scene as Tippecanoe County Coroner Carrie Costello confirmed.
