On April 11, Herman Gray — a 39-year-old from Terre Haute — drove a hearse the wrong way on Sagamore Parkway in Lafayette, sparking a police chase into West Lafayette that ended near Sachem Boulevard and Sachem Court when officers arrested him.

Sgt. John Robinson of the Lafayette Fire Department died on duty April 14 at Fire Station 9 after being found unresponsive.

The 53-year-old with nearly 30 years of service is remembered by his family—wife Melissa and daughters Ava and Reece—as the department works with official agencies to provide full honors.
