- ➤ Terry Pyatt, 64, from Lafayette was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital after her GMC Acadia was hit in a seven-car crash on Indiana 26 and Tippecanoe County Road 550 East Thursday afternoon — deputies closed the intersection for over two hours to investigate the chain reaction. - ➤ Officials are investigating a fire that led to a death in West Lafayette at the 2000 block of South 950 West where crews discovered a victim believed to be in his 70s—an autopsy is scheduled for Monday. WLFI
- ➤ On Thursday morning, a fire broke out at 2204 Summerfield Drive in Lafayette leading to a safe evacuation of a daycare with no injuries and firefighters quickly put out the blaze that had spread into a wall and attic—officials say the fire appears accidental and an investigation is ongoing. - ➤ A Frankfort woman (23) was arrested Thursday in West Lafayette after she stabbed her boyfriend (28) in the arm during an argument in their car on the 400 block of North River Road, with the victim treated at a local hospital and charges including domestic battery with a deadly weapon, domestic battery resulting in bodily injury, possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia pending. - ➤ Tippecanoe County drivers are advised that Morehouse Road (from Kalberer Road to Morehouse Court) will close for nearly a year beginning Monday (March 17th), so residents can use the road while others must follow the marked detour. WLFI
