Purdue sophomore Kendall Puryear scored a career-high 20 points on Dec.
28 as the team struggled and fell 83-73 to Illinois at Mackey Arena; the Boilermakers lost a brief home lead early in the game (record 8-5) as Big Ten play resumed.
