- ➤ LTHC is asking Lafayette residents to donate winter essentials, including hand and foot warmers, gloves and winter jackets, to support the community shelter's operations during colder months. Star City News
- ➤ Casey's Remodeling Annual Community Christmas event returns free this Saturday at Great United Skates from 5 to 7 p.m. Participants will enjoy skating and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus while up to 300 community members are expected to gather. WLFI
- ➤ Food Finders received a $50k grant from the Arconic Foundation to boost its food supplies amid rising need from SNAP benefit disruptions. The donation will help serve more families and keep shelves stocked during the holiday season. Star City News

- ➤ Regional gas prices fell to an average of $2.72 per gallon on Monday from last week's $2.74, a 19-cent drop since last month, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration; the Midwest average is now about 7.5% lower than the national price. Journal & Courier

- ➤ Purdue trustees approved an AI competency requirement for undergraduates yesterday. The measure—tailored for each program—will be added to curriculums starting fall as university officials work with deans to update guidelines. Journal & Courier

- ➤ Harrison boys soccer midfielder Franklin Caceras was named an All-American on Friday, Dec. 12 after helping his team reach state appearances. The veteran midfielder (finishing his four-year career with 16 goals and 22 assists) was recognized as the second in school history. Journal & Courier
