- ➤ Rohrman Automotive Group in West Lafayette announced a $77,200 donation to the Indiana Donor Network to fund care baskets with toiletries and blankets for families of donor heroes; the funds were raised by adding $50 to each new car sale in November (in honor of family member Kaitlyn Isbell). - ➤ SK hynix launched a new project website to help locals learn about its planned project and register for small group meetings (Dec. 12) in west Lafayette; the company stated that any questions should be directed to them as the city is not coordinating the sessions. Star City News

- ➤ Last Friday, Lafayette Central Catholic Jr.-Sr. High School held its second Entrepreneurship Showcase (showcasing student solutions to local challenges) where students presented their ideas. Mayor Roswarski attended and engaged with the presenters. Star City News
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Franciscan Health Lafayette is launching a year-long diabetes prevention program for adults with prediabetes starting Wednesday, Jan. 14 at the Franciscan Healthy Living Center (1116 North 16th Street); classes run each Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The program costs $99 and requires a call to register. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Purdue basketball freshman Antione West Jr. redshirted this season to deepen his skills amid a crowded roster. He will postpone his debut for 10 months to support practice sessions + enhance team performance in West Lafayette. Journal & Courier
- ➤ A team from Tippecanoe County won gold at the 3x3 Unified Basketball World Cup in San Juan, Puerto Rico this past weekend + two McCutcheon High School students said the tournament helped them grow by making friends with teams from Jamaica and other countries. Star City News
- ➤ Purdue bounced back from a loss to Iowa State with an 85-57 win over Minnesota at home on Wednesday, powered by a 50-point second half and strong senior play. The Boilers (9-1) will host Marquette at 2 p.m. on Saturday. WLFI
- ➤ Purdue basketball bounced back from a 23-point loss to Iowa State on Saturday by routing Minnesota 85-57 at Mackey Arena on Dec. 10, with senior point guard Braden Smith leading the offense (15 points, 12 assists) in a strong second-half comeback. Journal & Courier
