  • Food Finders Food Bank in Lafayette received a $5,000 grant from the American Water Charitable Foundation as part of the 2025 Keep Communities Flowing Grant Program, which supports high-impact food distribution projects. The grant will help local agencies improve efforts in water, people, and community initiatives—boosting support for those in need.  WLFI

  • Black Friday, a major shopping event set for Nov. 28, is only a week away and many retailers have already begun early deals; local shoppers will soon see deep discounts on electronics, kitchen appliances and more (including offers from major chains).  Journal & Courier

  • A photo gallery shows moments from the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra’s special performance celebrating the city’s Bicentennial and the orchestra’s 75th anniversary. Mayor Roswarski narrated the event—photos highlight the festive and historic celebration.  Star City News
  • The Art Museum of Greater Lafayette will host Jennifer Halvorson’s glasswork exhibition Lineage in December to explore generational patterns that shape values and secure the future. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • City officials awarded $500,000 from an opioid settlement to 12 local organizations — including Outreach Advocacy Center and Lafayette Transitional Housing Center — to boost treatment and housing support, based on recommendations from the Tippecanoe Resiliency and Recovery Network. City Attorney Jacque Chosnek said more funds will be distributed over time.  Star City News
