ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is asking residents to report sightings of exotic Mediterranean geckos (Hemidactylus turcicus) seen at various locations across the state. DNR officials say the lizards are non-dangerous, usually arrive as hitchhikers on shipments, and are mostly active at night. WLFI
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The American Red Cross is urging Lafayette residents to donate blood or platelets starting October 27th. Donors will receive $20 in e-gift cards and be entered for a chance to win one of three $5,000 gift cards until November 16th—helping boost Indiana's blood supply ahead of the busy holiday season.
