  • ➤ On Saturday, thousands of protesters joined a peaceful 'No Kings' march organized by Greater Lafayette Indivisible in West Lafayette, crossing the John T. Myers Pedestrian Bridge and circling the courthouse before moving to Tapawingo Park near the Wabash River — where they listened to music and heard speeches. Law enforcement reported no incidents or counter-protesters during the event.  Journal & Courier

  • ➤ Purdue basketball held an open scrimmage Saturday at Mackey Arena — transfer Oscar Cluff recorded 14 points with 11 rebounds and Omer Mayer tallied nine assists — while Coach Painter tested roster options and redshirt plans before their exhibition opener at Kentucky.  Journal & Courier
  • ➤ Purdue football traveled to Northwestern Saturday at 3 p.m.—the team was without senior transfer receiver Chauncey Magwood along with tight end George Burhenn and offensive linemen Marques Easley and De'Nylon Morrissette.  Journal & Courier
  • ➤ On Saturday at Northwestern, Purdue quarterback Ryan Browne left the game after he was tackled on a three-yard run in the second half — he appeared to favor his upper body as he walked off and was replaced by sophomore Malachi Singleton.  Journal & Courier
