  • A woman in her 40s died after being hit by a car while crossing at the South Street — Creasy Lane intersection on Monday at 7 a.m., and residents are now urging for more crosswalks as the busy site recorded 291 crashes.  WLFI

  • Purdue professor Melissa Fraterrigo will host a memoir release party—this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.—at Second Flight Books where she will read from her memoir The Perils of Girlhood and speak with award-winning author Eileen Drennen.  Star City News

  • Lafayette Jeff football stars Aaden Aytch and Ka'vion Campbell-Walker hosted a segment on the area's top plays from September 1 to 6—showcasing key football moments for local fans.  Journal & Courier
  • Local high school sports shined last week as Ivy Tech Journal & Courier featured top nominees for Athlete of the Week in volleyball, soccer and cross country between Sept. 1 and Sept. 6, 2025.
