Labor's Family Day Picnic in Columbian Park offers a car show, picnic, zoo visit, boat rides and free train rides to honor union workers on Labor Day weekend.
The event features a cornhole tournament and grilled food (a tribute to workers' sacrifices) and will return next year.

Motorists will face left-turn lane closures at three intersections on U.S. 52 near Lafayette as INDOT upgrades traffic signals.
The restrictions will start on Sept. 7 and continue through November — weather permitting.
