The American Cancer Society held its Relay for Life event Saturday at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds to support and honor cancer survivors, caregivers and affected community members — while raising funds and awareness for lifesaving testing.
Participants celebrated hope and resilience in the fight against cancer.

Purdue football will play Indiana State on Friday, Sept.
4 at 7 p.m. at Ross-Ade Stadium; head coach Barry Odom’s team, which finished 2-10 last season, returns key players including starting quarterback Ryan Browne to kick off the season with a strong effort.
Former Purdue basketball star Trey Kaufman-Renn filed a motion in Clark County seeking a sixth season of NCAA eligibility (filed on Aug.
26). A hearing is set for Tuesday at 9:30 a.m., though a return to Purdue remains unlikely due to roster changes.
