Good morning, Lafayette.
Purdue wide receiver Nitro Tuggle — who transferred from Georgia and is a four-star recruit from Goshen — was featured on ESPN's College GameDay when analysts doubted his existence; he is playing his first season with the Boilermakers and wears number 0.
Purdue defeated Ball State 31-0 at Ross-Ade Stadium on Saturday — Ryan Browne threw for a career-high 311 yards, two touchdowns, and scored his first rushing touchdown after transferring back.
The Boilermakers also showed strong defense and key plays from Arhmad Branch and Michael Jackson III to secure the win.
Purdue football posted a 31-0 shutout win over Ball State in its season opener under coach Barry Odom.
The team showed a strong passing game (by Ryan Browne and Arhmad Branch) but must improve its rushing attack in future games.
