ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A preliminary report on the plane crash that killed Purdue graduate Anh-Thu Nguyen on July 30 in Greenwood shows her small airplane crashed behind a Circle K after making a left turn then rapidly descending — the National Transportation Safety Board is still investigating the accident. WLFI
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Today the Lafayette-West Lafayette visitor center said that summer tourism brought 5 million visitors and a $400 million boost to the local economy. CEO Jo Wade said steady numbers support local attractions—such as parks, restaurants and events—even as tourism falls in other parts of the country. Star City News

- ➤ An Indiana appeals court ruled on Tuesday that regulators used state law the wrong way when they let Duke Energy raise customer rates for coal ash cleanup costs — this ruling reverses the earlier approval and sends the case back to the commission for review. WLFI
