Zumper data shows Lafayette apartment rents stayed nearly the same with a median of about $1,200—one-bedroom units are listed at $960 while two-bedroom units dropped slightly from $1,249 to $1,199.
The analysis includes all sizes from studios to four-bedroom apartments.
Indiana initial filings for unemployment dropped last week to 2,548 from 2,607, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
National jobless claims rose to 235,000 on a seasonally adjusted basis.

In Tippecanoe County, the median home listing dropped to $381,225 in July—down 6.4% from June and 4.7% from last July.
New listings increased by 26.2% to 212—and homes took a median 38 days on the market at $179 per square foot.
