  • The Lafayette city council will vote Monday night on a one-year trial to let residents raise chickens in their backyards. If approved, residents can keep hens for eggs and pets—supporters say the change may help lower egg bills and boost local food options.  Star City News

HEALTH NEWS

  • Schools and health experts in Lafayette say more young people are facing mental health problems as social media makes handling emotions harder, and Mental Health America reported that the rate has risen above one in four since 2018—showing a growing need for stronger support.   • Charlie Woods, son of Tiger Woods, finished in the top 10 at the Junior PGA Championship by tying for ninth at 9-under-par at Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex in West Lafayette.
