🎭 Culture
Float Jam will take place on Aug.
8 along the Wabash River and will combine a 4.5-mile paddle trip with live Americana music. The event, organized by the Wabash River Enhancement Corp, launches at Davis Ferry with a route to Tapawingo Park and music from 5 to 8 p.m.
🎓 Education
Purdue University officials confirmed this week that TikTok is now accessible on campus Wi-Fi and university-issued devices after it was blocked in March 2023 over cybersecurity concerns (following a government overhaul).
The update allows students to use the app safely on campus.
🏛️ Government
INDOT started expanding I-65 lanes last Wednesday, closing the northbound section (from the Wabash River to County Road 600 North) and the southbound section (from County Road 725 North to Swishers Road); drivers will use two open lanes during the work.

Lafayette marked the grand opening of Element 26, an apartment community with 78 new homes in the Columbian Park neighborhood on Thursday; Ironmen Properties invested in the project and some apartments remain available for leasing.

Purdue volleyball players are building team chemistry during preseason as they fine-tune their skills for an exhibition match on Aug.
