  • A tanker truck exploded at SwiftFuels on U.S. 52 near West Lafayette today, prompting a large fire response with no injuries as firefighters extinguished the flames within 20 minutes and continue investigating the cause — officials say the air remains safe.  Star City News

  • Garcia's Pizza In A Pan, the beloved hangout from Chauncey Hill Mall that closed in the mid-'90s due to drive-through pressure, may return to Lafayette if owner Ralph Senn finds a buyer to update the pizza-by-the-slice concept—Senn expects a sale in the next few years—offering fans a chance to relive its nostalgic charm.  Journal & Courier

ECONOMY NEWS

  • A consumer watchdog group found that Indiana residents saw an average electric bill increase of more than $28 per month over the past year, with data showing NIPSCO customers experienced a $50 jump.
