- ➤ Caterpillar celebrated its 100th anniversary at its large engine facility in Lafayette and hosted a special event with a mobile exhibit of its accomplishments. - ➤ Governor Braun’s Administration confirmed that all public universities in Indiana will not raise in-state tuition for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 school years and Purdue continues its 14-year tuition freeze. Some Purdue students say the freeze influenced their college choices—while others caution that fees may still increase. Star City News

- ➤ Today, Lafayette Fire Department paramedic Zach Wolf warned that rising heat may cause power outages that lead to air conditioner failures – urging residents to stay hydrated and visit indoor cooling shelters like libraries or malls. Star City News
- ➤ Officials in Lafayette and West Lafayette say fireworks will be allowed from June 29 to July 9 each evening from 5 p.m. until two hours after sunset + on July 4 they may be set off from 10 a.m. until midnight. Star City News
