Westfield offensive lineman Nicholas Schurman committed to Purdue football on June 11, joining three other in-state recruits for the Boilermakers' 2027 class after choosing Purdue over offers from Indiana, Stanford, and Virginia.

Purdue football extended GM Brandon Lee's contract through 2027 with a salary boost from $200,000 to $360,000 this year and $370,000 next—after he helped sign 32 transfers—and rehired Jason Simmons as his assistant.

Purdue basketball coach Matt Painter said the new five-year eligibility rule will hurt his team because it gives the NCAA an extra year for transfers after his summer workout.

The NCAA will vote on the rule later this month.
