EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Purdue University announced it is cutting long-standing DEI initiatives and closing its Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging effective today — staff working in these areas can interview for open roles as the university reorganizes its support programs. Cultural centers will remain open to serve all students as the change takes effect. WLFI
- ➤ Purdue University ended its Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging following policy shifts at the state and federal levels and will now merge key support programs into the new Boilermaker Opportunity Program Plus—overseen by Enrollment Management—with affected staff given opportunities to interview for other roles. - ➤ Graduating seniors at Tippecanoe Online Academy marked their first commencement and completed a year of flexible online learning that eased anxiety and adapted to busy schedules—Principal Devin Arms praised their achievements and noted plans for a stronger next academic year.
