  • Mountain Jacks Steakhouse in Lafayette will close in early June after the property owner declined to renew its lease, and owners Ed and Blanca Fauble have offered their employees jobs at their Dayton restaurant while planning a potential new location in Lafayette next year.  Journal & Courier

  • Tippecanoe Historical Association will host an exhibit at City Hall next week to celebrate Lafayette's 201st birthday. The exhibit will showcase key historical milestones from the city's past.  Star City News
  • The 52nd Round the Fountain Art Fair is open today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds help fund school art programs + visitors can also enjoy an art exhibit at the county courthouse.  Star City News

  • McCutcheon boys track team won its first sectional championship since 2017 at Lafayette Jeff's Scheumann Stadium on Thursday. Elijah Curry won the 100-meter finals and Kamarion Ayres led hurdles races — the Mavericks outscored Lafayette Jeff by 25.5 points.  Journal & Courier
  • Harrison’s boys track and field team won its eighth straight sectional title on Thursday (May 21) at Salisbury Athletic Complex, with sophomore hurdler Zion Clopton breaking a 27-year-old record in the 110 hurdles at 13.96 seconds. Coach Chris Crum planned the meet to help runners advance to next week’s regional meet.  Journal & Courier
  • Purdue football added in-state linebacker Ethan Reyna from Andrean’s state champion team to its 2027 recruiting class—he recorded 105 tackles last season and will make his official visit to West Lafayette next month.  Journal & Courier
