- ➤ Eli Lilly will invest up to $250 million over eight years as it expands its partnership with Purdue University (extending a deal that was set to run until 2027) to boost medicine research and supply chains through at least 2032 (the Lilly-Purdue 360 Initiative). Star City News

- ➤ A Lafayette police shooting review board cleared officers Jeremy Kennedy and Evan Sturgeon of any policy violations in the May 1 shooting death of Kenneth Smith at 2800 Ravenwood Court, where they had responded to a domestic violence threat— the prosecutor will still review the case for possible criminal charges. - ➤ Two Lafayette police officers who responded May 1 to a domestic dispute in an apartment on Ravenwood Court were reviewed by a Shooting Review Board and found to have acted within department policy — one officer returned fire, killing suspect Kenneth D. Smith while another did not fire. WLFI

- ➤ Greater Lafayette will host many summer events with the Round the Fountain Art Fair on May 24 at the Tippecanoe County Courthouse (supporting local arts education), TASTE of Tippecanoe on June 21 downtown, the Indiana Fiddlers' Gathering at Tippecanoe Battlefield from June 27 to 29, and the Stars and Stripes Celebration on July 4 with live music and fireworks. Additional events including Wabash Riverfest on July 12, a Tippecanoe County youth fair from July 18 to 26, pride and craft beer festivals in August, and cultural celebrations through September will offer family-friendly entertainment.
