Local letter carriers are partnering with Food Finders Food Bank to collect nonperishable food placed by residents’ mailboxes this Saturday, May 9, as they work extra hours to boost support for community food banks facing rising costs (a vital local effort).

Lafayette will host its Clean Sweep event on May 16 from 9 to 11:30 a.m., and residents can pick up supplies at City Hall (20 N.

Sixth St.) on May 14 and 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Volunteers may help keep the city clean.
