- ➤ Lafayette Jeff baseball player Mason Pechin and tennis player Sydney North were named Journal and Courier Athletes of the Week for their performances from April 21 to April 26. North received 25,309 votes — Pechin earned 9,053 tallies among male athletes. Journal & Courier
- ➤ Purdue football added edge rusher Miles Mitchell from Monmouth last Saturday after he played 12 games with 30 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks, strengthening the defense under coach Barry Odom.
