  • The YWCA of Greater Lafayette held its annual Clay Bowl fundraiser this week to raise funds for programs that help uninsured women get cancer screenings and offer domestic violence services—Denim Day was also observed to raise awareness of sexual assault, though it is unclear if the event will return next year as the organization moves locations.  Star City News
  • Purdue defensive end CJ Madden donated $2,000 to the Hanna Community Center in West Lafayette to support youth programs—his gift came from his NIL deal and shows his commitment to the local community. The donation reflects his dedication to helping local kids and reinforcing community values.  WLFI

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Tippecanoe School Corporation will host a bus driver recruitment event on May 10 at Wea Ridge Middle School + the event will run from 8 a.m. to noon, allowing candidates to test drive school buses and learn about the job.  Star City News

SPORTS NEWS

  • Purdue women's basketball released its Big Ten schedule for the 2025-26 season with home games against Iowa, Michigan State, Oregon, Washington, Illinois, Rutgers, Ohio State and Penn State, road games at Maryland, UCLA, Michigan, USC, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Northwestern and Minnesota, and home-and-away games versus Indiana. The schedule includes first trips to Pauley Pavilion for UCLA and the Galen Center for USC, and the team will join the Cancun Challenge at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya from Nov. 27-29.  Journal & Courier
