- ➤ Lafayette Parks and Rec announced a partnership with Arni’s to manage food and beverage operations for the 2025 Tropicanoe Cove season at Columbian Park — the new program will offer classic favorites, new menu items and catering for private events with a party deck built with the Purdue School of Construction Management Technology. Arni’s will host a hiring fair on April 28 and the Cove will open on May 24 during regular operating hours. WLFI

- ➤ Kevin Raffaele MacBride, a 34-year-old man from Woodridge, Illinois, was charged with felony cocaine possession and a Class C misdemeanor after Lafayette police found him unresponsive on a commercial bus on October 12—officers later discovered about 26.68 grams of cocaine in his pocket and the case was filed on April 17. - ➤ A 17-year-old boy was shot at about 10:45 p.m. Saturday on the 1900 block of Crowfoot Drive in Lafayette—police said a nearby home on Choctaw Drive was struck by stray bullets with two women inside remaining unharmed and the suspect search ongoing. Journal & Courier
