SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Former Purdue guard Rashunda Jones announced on X that she is transferring to Michigan State after joining the transfer portal on March 31—she is from South Bend and improved her scoring last season despite Purdue missing the Big Ten tournament. Journal & Courier
- ➤ Linebacker Landon Drennan—who joined Purdue as a preferred walk-on last season—said he is betting on himself by entering the transfer portal and keeping his remaining four years of eligibility. He becomes the second Purdue walk-on to make a move this spring as the portal will open April 16th and run through April 25th. Journal & Courier
- ➤ After Purdue football’s spring showcase on Saturday, head coach Barry Odom spoke in remarks that capped the spring season. His comments focused on the team’s performance at the event. Journal & Courier
- ➤ In NCAA women’s basketball the transfer portal opened March 25 and more than 1,000 names entered as several Indiana athletes committed to new Division I programs.
