- ➤ On Friday, April 11, dogs and their owners gathered at Cumberland Dog Park in West Lafayette for an Easter egg hunt where treats hidden in eggs were collected using bags; photos showed pets enjoying the fun (including Zinn, a Labrador and Dachshund mix). Journal & Courier

- ➤ Tickets are on sale for United Express flights from the new Amelia Earhart Terminal at Purdue University Airport to Chicago O’Hare this fall—SkyWest will begin flights on August 5. The carrier will run two daily round-trip flights on Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday and one on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday—flights will use CRJ200 jets with up to 50 seats. WLFI

- ➤ Bob Dylan will perform tonight at Purdue University in West Lafayette, marking his fourth appearance at the school after his team reached out to the Purdue Student Concert Committee. The committee has been on duty (8 a.m.) until (midnight) to manage hospitality and security for the event. Star City News

- ➤ Lafayette Parks & Recreation announced the 2025 Daycation bus trips—set for May 7, August 27, October 15 and December 17—that offer deluxe motorcoach rides and event admission to festivals and attractions such as the Tulip Time Festival, Indy Motor Speedway visit, Parke Co. Covered Bridge Festival and Dinner Theatre in Indianapolis. Participants must register with full payment, check in at McAllister Rec Center and be 18 or older. WLFI

- ➤ McCutcheon senior Sydney Osborn recalled a near-fatal car crash (11 months ago) on North River Road in West Lafayette after hitting a grand slam in Rossville; her GMC Terrain hit a phone pole at 60 mph and left her with a concussion. She missed her summer club season with Indiana Magic but began capturing teammates’ memorable moments with a camera inspired by her parents. Journal & Courier
- ➤ Lafayette Jeff senior Peyton Parker earned the Athlete of the Week award after he led his team with 10,975 votes and three RBIs in wins against Carroll last Saturday. West Lafayette freshman Molly Mansfield also received the honor after striking out seven batters in one game and pitching a five-inning shutout in early April—showing a strong start to her high school career. - ➤ West Lafayette freshman Eleanor Hurt hit a walk-off home run on Thursday evening in the 10th inning to lift her team to a 7-6 win over Twin Lakes—marking coach Chauncey Fry's 100th win. Freshman pitcher Molly Mansfield struck out 14 batters in her complete 10-inning game. Journal & Courier
- ➤ Purdue football will be active in the spring transfer portal window opening April 16 after Logan Jellison, a preferred walk-on who did not see game time last season, announced Thursday he will enter with four years of eligibility remaining.
