Good morning, Lafayette. Here's your local news at a glance for Monday, the 31st of March.

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • More than 140 residents gathered on Sunday at West Lafayette Public Library in a 'Where’s Baird?' town hall hosted by Greater Lafayette Indivisible — they urged Representative Jim Baird to address concerns over policies that critics say have cut Medicaid and hurt veterans, farmers, and families. The meeting ended with a call for locals to organize and push back against these changes.  WLFI

SPORTS NEWS

  • Purdue basketball center Will Berg, a 7-foot-2 redshirt sophomore who played in 22 games and all five postseason contests this season, entered the transfer portal — making him the second Boilermaker to do so after Brian Waddell.
