  • The Indiana BMV warned people today of a text scam that mimics its official site by using fake links that look like Indiana web addresses (official messages stress not paying fees or clicking on such texts).  WLFI
  • Indiana native Seth Koval, a Purdue graduate from Mooresville, was killed when his refueling plane crashed in western Iraq on March 15 at 12:18 p.m. — U.S. Central Command said his family now seeks donations via GoFundMe as they cope with the loss.  Journal & Courier

SPORTS NEWS

  • After winning the Big Ten championship on Sunday, Purdue basketball earned a No. 2 seed and will face ASUN champion Queens — a matchup set for this Friday in St. Louis.  Journal & Courier
  • Purdue center Oscar Cluff shared his reaction after the Boilermakers beat Michigan in the Big Ten Tournament — praising the strong teamwork that led to the win.  Journal & Courier
  • On Saturday, Mar. 14, Harrison and Homestead faced off in the IHSAA Class 4A regional basketball championship at the Berry Bowl in Logansport (photos captured key plays by players like Quinn Clary and Jake Schremp).  Journal & Courier
  • Purdue guard Braden Smith switched to No. 41 during the Big Ten championship game against Michigan after his No. 3 jersey tore, then made his first shot and finished with seven points and five assists.
