- ➤ NFL wide receiver Rondale Moore, former Purdue + Vikings star, died Saturday night at age 25 when police found him in his New Albany garage with a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound. WLFI
- ➤ The West Lafayette junior varsity boys basketball team took four overtimes to beat Logansport on Feb. 19 at Berberian Gymnasium. Chase Ostrom scored a buzzer-beating layup in a hard-fought game and coach Tyler Marsh praised the team’s strong character. Journal & Courier
- ➤ McCutcheon girls basketball won the IHSAA 4A semi-state game against Northridge as Lillie Graves led key plays. A video recap shows game highlights for local fans. Journal & Courier
- ➤ Former Purdue receiver Rondale Moore died at 25 on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 9:17 p.m. His career at Purdue was celebrated by fans in West Lafayette, who remember him for his skill and energy on the field. Journal & Courier
- ➤ After beating Northridge in the semifinal & falling 59-42 to Norwell in the championship on Feb. 21, coach Jeff Knoy paid tribute to his late father by recalling his advice that basketball is easy when shots fall, even if they sometimes do not. McCutcheon finished 23-6 & now hopes its returning seniors will grow for another run at a state title. Journal & Courier
