  • West Lafayette senior wrestler Isabel Kaplan made history yesterday by outscoring Tri-County sophomore Graham Scherer 4-0 in the 113-pound IHSAA regional championship at Logansport. She is the last girl allowed to compete against boys under the IHSAA rules (per rule 9-9).  Journal & Courier
  • Purdue Wrestling head coach Tony Ersland spoke after his team lost 28-6 to Illinois on Feb. 8 — saying the loss offered lessons for future matchups.  WLFI
  • Former Purdue receiver Kirk Olivadotti, now a coach for the Seattle Seahawks, raised the Lombardi Trophy after the team beat the Patriots 29-13 at Levi's Stadium Feb. 8. He played at Purdue from 1993 to 1996.  Journal & Courier
  • Indiana guard Shay Ciezi scored 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to help her team win 74-59 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Feb. 8. Purdue, now 11-13, will try to bounce back as they host Rutgers on Saturday.  Journal & Courier
