- ➤ Lafayette Parks and Recreation is accepting online registration for its Lifeguard Certification Course—applicants over 15 who pass swimming drills will get a fee refund after completing the course and can work as a lifeguard in the area. Star City News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Sunday, Indiana State Police Lafayette District announced the death of its retired K-9 Jordy, a German Shepherd who served from 2015 to 2025 and died of medical reasons. The department sent condolences to Trooper McQueary's family, who cared for Jordy after his retirement. Star City News
